Following a sold-out original season with Midsumma Festival in May of 2021, Ballads & Ballgowns returned for a bolder and brighter 2022 season.

Following a sell-out Midsumma premiere in 2021, Isis Avis Loren is bringing Ballads & Ballgowns back for Midsumma Festival 2022. Couturier to the drag stars, Miss Loren presents a scarcely celebrated side of the multi-faceted diamond that is drag. You are invited to a night of sequins and serenading as Isis takes you on a journey through her penchant for floor length gowns & melancholy melodies.
Dressed from crown to stiletto in couture, Isis Avis Loren meticulously delivers a bolder and brighter performance through the artform of drag in Ballads & Ballgowns. Witness once more the sheer spectacle of a lone drag queen, hiding in the spotlight, encrusted in a few more rhinestones and sequins. Pining to the cardboard cut out moon never looked so mesmerising. One question remains, do you wanna see another numbah?!
Isis Avis Loren is Melbourne Drag Award’s reigning Miss Congeniality & Costumier of the Year. A fashion aficionado forever in pursuit of drag excellence, the glamour gal returns to reprise her well received one-woman show.
